about

Whilst no direct comparison quite rings true, there are shades of The Dears and the creative sensibilities of The Flaming Lips in Alberto Veto's music, but shot through with a brash angularity. The vocals carry tones of Bryan Ferry colliding with Glen Hansard and David Byrne on a lost weekend, delivering carefully crafted lyrics which recall the spit of Patrick Fitzgerald and the angry wit of Charles Bukowski.

Reviews for Into Glory Ugly Heart:

"....Terrific postpunk songwriting and tight riffs. Gritty, raw, English-bar primal–it’s music that emphasizes energy over form and fists over flowers, perfect for a drinking party or a Jim Sheridan film..."
Berkeley Place

"...it forms a dark, sarcastic soundtrack to a reluctant journey through a shady, tetchy world, not disimliar to the one that Lupen Crook inhabits"
A Negative Narrative

"...Excellent..a diverse range of styles and influences.."
